Twenty five per cent more Tesco Ireland customers choose to buy milk, flour, and eggs to make their own pancakes rather than buy convenience pancake products, a survey by the supermarket chain has revealed.

Shrove Tuesday, aka pancake day, is just around the corner, and the Aga shop in Galway is hosting a special pancake party in aid of the Galway Hospice Foundation.

Mayo General Hospital’s social club table quiz will take place on February 24 at 9pm in Rocky’s, Linenhall Street, Castlebar. The quiz costs €40 per table of four and there will be prizes galore with the proceeds going towards cystic fibrosis. And of course, as it is Shrove Tuesday, pancakes will be served.
